It is a viable and comfortable replacement for a tent or sleep pad arrangement at a fraction of the weight. The Explorer is the missing link between the 9 ft. Deluxe Explorer / Backpacker models and the huge 11 ft. long Safari models. This new model provides a new dimension in comfort without the weight penalty of the bigger Safari. This is the hammmock for those who are over 6’ tall or more than 300 lbs. The Deluxe A-sym has a large silicone nylon fly and 2700 lb. test ropes. The additional space can also be used to store a lightweight pack at the head end of the hammock.

Your shelter never touches the ground, never gets dirty or muddy. It just disappears into two tapering tubes of silnylon which sit gathered on the ropes at each end of the hammock for amazingly quick set up and take down.
