Image above shows the outer tools of the Leatherman
Wave, which includes a 420 stainless steel knife which is precision ground
while immersed in coolant for the sharpest edge possible. Outside access
and larger thumb holes make one-handed opening quick and easy.
Large bit driver is shown above. Each bit is
engineered and manufactured to Leatherman's exacting standards. Made
from S2 Tool Steel, they are 35% stronger than stainless. A zinc coating
makes them even more corrosion resistant. All are ground to perfection,
and have a Rockwell hardness of 59 on a C scale.
Sheaths
The Wave sheath is available in leather
or nylon. Both sheaths carry the tool in its open or closed position. In
each photo above, the leather sheath is on the left and the nylon
on the right.
Optional Quick-Release Ring & Removable Pocket Clip
Images above show the optional Quick-Release
Ring & Removable Pocket clip used with the New Wave. The New
Wave does not include these items but they may be purchased separately.
One or the other is locked in place into a slot near the lock-release. The
quick-release ring and pocket clip do not work with the old Wave
or any other tools except for the New Wave and Charge Tools.
